Jed Clampitt had just received a multimillion dollar offer for his rocky, hillside farm. He’s standing in the living room of his house talking to Pearl, his sister and Jethro’s mother, about his difficult problem. “I just don’t know whether I ought to sell and move to Beverly Hills or not.”
Pearl said, “You can’t make up your mind about moving from here? Look at you! You have hogs rootin’ around under the house, chickens walkin’ through the living room, I hear a possum scratchin’ around in the attic. And you can’t make up your mind whether to move?”
Jed replied, “You’re right Pearl. I’ll stay. A man would be a fool to move off and leave blessins like this!”
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. (Proverb 28:20)
