There was a time when most Americans believed a Christian believing man/woman would be best for our nation’s highest office. The person would be someone who would preserve and promote our Christian values and be a worldwide example that we follow Almighty God. But that is no longer the case. Many today believe one’s type of faith (various beliefs), lack of faith (hypocrite), or no faith (atheism), and should not disqualify them from becoming Commander-in-Chief. They see it as an inconsequential matter as relating to his duties. The argument is not whether citizens of other faiths have the ability and desire to preserve and perpetuate our Christian faith (which they do not), but that the qualifications of our nation’s highest office does not require such. And to think we actually thought it did. “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Pr. 14:34).

Nowadays, many argue that within our Constitution, the founding principles of our Union, there are indelible specifications that separate church and state, but this is false because this nation was founded on biblical principles. Governing authorities are delegated rule from God, which every citizen including every Christian should yield to (John 19:11; Rom. 13:1-14; Tit. 3:1; 1 Pet. 2:13-17). However, no earthly authority possesses the right from heaven to enact laws, which are contrary to God’s will, and if they do no one should comply (Dan. 3:13-18; 6:4-10; Acts 5:25-29). The most High God ruleth in the kingdoms of men (Dan. 4:25,32; 5:21).

Today, our nation is in a continuation of a long-standing problem. All of our higher offices are being infiltrated by the “vote” with people of no Christian character or commitment. As America continues its declining trek away from bible principles so goes our values. Bible transgressions which are now legal like abortion, homosexuality, gambling, alcohol, and pornography are only so because bible ignorance is vast. Presidents are chosen by the greater part of society. It is the responsibility of the majority. He is a reflection of them. We could one day have a President who publicly professes that Jesus is NOT the Christ, nor the Son of God, because the majority no longer believes it. Muslims, Jews, and atheists already say he is not. What should Christians do because voting won’t correct this? Pray and evangelize because this will correct it! (1 Tim. 2:1-4; 2 Tim. 2:24-26).
